Her garden design forte is to balance the architecture with the planting in shapes, colours, textures and scents. Taking the indoors out, Michaela's garden design techniques always include the imaginative application of ambient garden lighting to create an enchanting mood.
As a Garden Architect, Michaela’s belief is that the architecture, although essential, is not always paramount. Once garden plants establish, the structure of the garden is not always visible. Michaela’s garden and landscape designs are truly pleasurable due to the choice of plants that thrive in them. She enjoys creating gardens for leisure and pleasure, for day and for night entertainment but chiefly for the evening - the time when most people dine and relax.
